Selena Gomez would love to sing for Bollywood film

Singer and actress Selena Gomez says she would be happy to explore an opportunity to sing for a Bollywood film, calling the prospect a “beautiful” experience.

Asked by IANS whether she would consider lending her voice to a Bollywood movie, Gomez said she had never been approached for such an opportunity but would be open to it.

“I’ve never been asked that! Why not? I think that would be beautiful,” she told IANS.

Gomez rose to fame as a child through the Disney television series “Wizards of Waverly Place”, which established her as a popular young performer before she expanded her career into music and films.

As a singer, she has delivered several successful tracks, including “Come and Get It”, “The Heart Wants What It Wants”, “Bad Liar”, “Wolves” and “Back to You”.

Her career has also included acting and voice-over roles in a range of films. She has appeared in projects such as “Another Cinderella Story”, “The Big Short”, “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising”, “Monte Carlo” and “The Muppets”.

Gomez is also widely recognised for voicing the character Mavis in the “Hotel Transylvania” animated franchise. The first film in the series was released in 2012, followed by “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation”, which was released in India by Sony Pictures India in July.

Her comments about Bollywood music could open the door to an interesting cross-cultural collaboration, particularly given the global reach of Indian cinema and its growing connections with international artists.

For now, Gomez has not revealed any specific Bollywood project, but her response suggests she would be receptive if such an opportunity comes her way.
