Ranchi: Police have arrested five accused who were wanted in connection with a murder case that took place on October 14 last year.
Police sources said that all the arrested have confessed to their role in the crime. All the arrested are being currently interrogated.
Police said that the body of the deceased Amit Srivastav who hailed from Laxmi Nagar under Sukhdeo Nagar Police Station area was recovered on October 18 from Mudla Pahad last year after he had gone missing from his home a few days earlier.
From the spot liquor bottles, empty glasses and slippers of the deceased were recovered along with some blood-stained stones.
Police had suspected that during drinking liquor some dispute might have broken between the friends and in the heat of the moment, they had attacked him with stone due to which he died.
On the other hand, the parents of the deceased had also accused his friends of killing the boy.
