Hazaribagh: Seven ultras of the TritIya Prastuti Committee have been arrested from Behra forest under Charhi Police Station area of this district along with arms.
Those arrested included Aakash Yadav, Arvind Kumar, Deepak Kumar Das, Surendra Ram, Umesh Ram, Sagar alias Rohit Paswan and Rocky while kingpin of the group Gurudeo managed to flee from the spot.
A couple of desi kattas, three live cartridges, uniforms and couple of mobile phones have been seized from the spot.
Hazaribagh SP Mayur Patel had received a tip-off regarding the gathering of the TPC ultras in a forest after which a team led by SDPO Om Prakash conducted raids and arrested these ultras.
Police said that all the arrested have had criminal past. Among the those arrested six are from Hazaribagh district and one is from Chatra. Police said that these ultras were planning to execute arsoning in Charhi and Tapin Colliery.
