Ranchi: Sitting Ranchi MP Ramtahal Chowdhary has announced his resignation from the primary membership of the party and declared that he will be contesting the Lok Sabha polls as an independent and will be filing his nominations on April 16. Addressing a press conference here he attacked the state and the central government and accused them of functioning as a dictator and said that he was punished for speaking the truth.
Mr Chowdhary said that the party leadership did not even ask him before denying him a ticket. “At least they could have asked me two months before whether I wanted to contest or not,” he said adding that if his opinion would have been taken he would have suggested an apt candidate’s name. He said that the person who has got ticket has also said that wrong has been committed but has to obey by the party order.
A livid MP said that he had not won the elections in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi but has emerged victorious thanks to his own work and accessibility among the people. He said that the government is taking decision sitting in AC rooms in Jharkhand and that too on an online mode.
