CM makes three major announcements inside house, including 75 percent reservation to locals in private jobs

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday made three major announcements during the ongoing budget session of the Jharkhand assembly which included 75 percent reservation to the locals in private jobs in the state.

The Chief Minister said that on March 12 in the meeting of the state cabinet many historic decision over key policy matters were taken but as the budget session was on therefore keeping in mind the parliamentary decorum and tradition the government has decided that it will not be making any policy decision public outside the house as it would have been disrespecting towards the house therefore  today he wanted to apprise the house regarding the decisions  which were taken in the Cabinet meeting.

Chief Minister said that in the Cabinet meeting which was held on March 12 a total of 26 decisions were taken in which there was a proposal of the home prison and disaster management department as per which the government has decided to declare road accidents as local universal disaster and the kin of the deceased for the family members will be given a sum of Rs 1 lakh from the state disaster relief fund.

The Chief Minister said that as per a proposal of labour and recruitment department the cabinet has given its approval to the Mukhyamantri Protsahan Yojana for the year 2020-21 which is aimed at providing unemployment allowance to the the skilled and technically educated youth worth Rs 5000 per year and under this there would be a 50 percent reservation for the widow and others.

In the third decision it has been decided that in the private industries locals will be provided 75 percent reservation.

The Chief Minister said that governments will come and go but Institutions should remain therefore with due respect to the parliamentary tradition the government did not make any announcement related to key policy decision outside the house.
