Global Agriculture & Food Summit to kick start from Thursday

Ranchi (By our correspondent): Union Minister for Agriculture Radha Mohan Singh will on Thursday inaugurate the two day Global Agriculture and Food Summit which will be held at the Khelgaon here in which around 10,000 farmers are expected to participate.
This was for the first time in Jharkhand that a global agriculture and food summit is being organized in which so far 1800 delegates have already registered and those farmers who were also sent to Israel will also be speaking at the function and share their experiences.

In the exhibition area pavilions of 24 districts have been also set up and there are also an exhibition of other states and an exhibition of agricultural equipment and other technicalities is also being put up at the venue. Farmers from the 16 far off districts
have already reached to the capital and all arrangements for their accommodation has been made at the Khelgaon while those from the nearby eight districts will come in the morning tomorrow.0

During the two days, event four sectoral seminars would also be held on subjects like organic farming and agriculture equipment. On November 30 the World Bank will be organizing a technical session while a separate media lounge has been also set up at the venue for the media persons. Countries like China Israel Philippines and Mangolia are partner countries for this event while Morocco is the focus country. 

The partner countries will also be organizing their country focused seminars. Another key highlight of the event would be groundbreaking ceremonies for 50 companies involved in food processing sector. On the other hand, the district administration has made elaborate arrangements for law and order and has made changes in the travel plan so that the flow of the traffic remains smooth on these two days.
