Railways extends Kavi Guru Express to Bhagalpur via Dumka

Dumka (By our correspondent): On the occasion of the Chhath festival the railway's ministry has given a gift in the form of Kavi Guru Express Train which will now be connecting Dumka and Bhagalpur to Howrah. As per the decision of the railway board, the Kavi Guru Express from tomorrow will run on Rampurhaat-Dumka - Mandar Hill Section.

In a function to be held at Dumka railway station, Godda MP Nishikant Dubey will welcome train number 13015/13016 and would flag off the same to Bhagalpur. During the function state’s Social Welfare Minister Louis Marandi and all other senior officials of the railways would be also present. PRO of the Asansol division of railways Rahul Ranjan said that all preparations for this train have been completed.

Train number 13015 Kavi Guru Express earlier use to ply between Howrah to Bolpur which has been further extended to Bhagalpur via Dumka. The train will consist of 11 coaches including three ordinary chair cars and three AC chair cars. As per the schedule released by the railway board, the train would every day depart from Howrah at 1040hrs and Dumka at 1655hrs and finally reach Bhagalpur at 2110hrs while on its return journey it will commence from Bhagalpur at 0600hrs reach Dumka at 1040 hrs and finally reach Howrah at 1715hrs.
