Survey of students studying vocational courses in government schools to be done

Ranchi: A survey of students doing vocational courses in government schools of the state has been started. The purpose of conducting the survey is to check the accuracy of the students. 

The department is trying to know whether the students of the schools where it is being taught are getting its benefits or not. Students are able to learn something or not. It has been said by the Vocational Training Board that it is mandatory for all students to participate in this survey.

The survey is being conducted to check the performance of vocational students. That survey will be done by April 20. Students studying in total 446 high schools and plus two schools of the state will be included in this survey. According to the information received from the education department, the survey is being done through website https:// harkhand. lighthouse.net. in/login and mobile-based applications.

All 100 percent of students have been asked to participate in this. Along with general schools, it is now being started in 80 excellent schools and 325 block-level model schools of the state. 

Total 11 trades will be taught. Out of this, teaching of about seven trades has been started in many schools. It will be started soon in other remaining schools as well. Vocational courses are being taught in schools through private agencies. They are conducting many types of courses.

Children will be given training in Agriculture, IT, ITES, Apparel & Madeup & Home Furnishing, Media & Entertainment, Automotive, Tourism & Hospitality, Beauty & Wellness, Multiskilling, Electronics & Hardware, Retail and Healthcare. 

Arrangements are being made for on-the-job training through industrial field visits with state-level establishments and institutions associated with the respective trade so that employment opportunities can also be made available according to their interest in future life. Training has also been given to the principal of the select school for running the schools. They have been given leadership training from IIM Ranchi.

According to the officer of the education project, if there is a need for a better performance they will be sent for training outside.
