PDS shops to be soon made accessible for all: Hemant

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the present government will not allow the people of the state to sleep empty stomach as part of which the PDS system will be soon made accessible to all so that the needy can get food.

The Chief Minister said that if earlier more than 6.50 lakh ration cards had not been cancelled than black spot of hunger would not have been levelled in the state.

In a tweet the Chief Minister also directed to provide blood to football player Ramdas Soren. He directed the Dhanbad administration to provide necessary level to Soren.

Hemant was informed that Soren was battling cancer and has been admitted at PMCH. He needed blood immediately but there was no donor and due to lockdown the family was also not able to bring the youth to Ranchi.

The Chief Minister was informed that despite having filed her application for ration card she was not been given the foodgrains.

In another tweet he said that the state government was sensitive towards every worker who has been trapped due to the lockdown. He said that the officials since the beginning of the lockdown have established coordination with the other governments and are trying their best to help the people. He said that the state government has started the work of providing monetary assistance to the workers who are trapped with the use of a mobile app.
