Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Secretary DK Tiwari said that people of the state were mentally very prosperous which is reflected in their lifestyle a d also culture.
Addressing the people after inaugurating a two-day painting exhibition and launching a coffee table book on tribal and folk painting he said that there was a need to provide a larger canvas for the people to showcase their skills.
He said that the painting exhibition will further enhance the talent of the people of the state and suggested the organizers hold similar functions every year.
He said that people of Jharkhand are naturally talented which is reflected in their songs, sports, arts and culture and all they needed was a correct platform. He said that the government was making correct policies in this regard which will further propel artistic growth in the state.
Mr Tiwari said that the state government was also working to make those people economically strong who are performing in the areas of sports, art and culture.
He said that the paintings which are being currently made by the painters will go on to become great treasures in the future.
Pointing the example of Pablo Piccaso he said that once his paintings were rejected but later they all became Internationally acclaimed. The Chief Secretary urged the people to visit Audrey House and take a look at the exhibition
as it was more entertaining than the cinema.
He said that the exhibition which has been put up here was of the International level and was a depiction of the multicultural aspects of the state.
