Miscreants create havoc in Tori railway siding, set couple of vehicles on fire

Latehar: Unidentified armed miscreants created havoc at the Tori Railway siding located under Chandwa Police Station area of this district and set on fire a couple of Hyvas while four other vehicles were also damaged by them.

Apart from damaging the vehicles they also beat up the personnel at the spot. However, before the police could reach the criminals fled taking advantage of the darkness. The people who were beaten on the spot claimed that a group of 6 armed miscreants reached the spot and opened indiscriminate firing.

After the firing as the drivers left leaving their vehicles behind some of them set them on fire while few other beat up the people whom they managed to catch. Post the incident the district police has alerted police of Chatra, Ranchi and Lohardaga districts and vehicle checking drive has been also launched in the bordering areas.

On the other hand post the incident work of coal loading at the project has been stopped.
