Ranchi (By our correspondent): Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu said that women who have been the backbone of the social and family system of the country have not only become socially and economically strong but are now coming forward as policymakers.
Addressing the ‘Mission Sahsi’ programmes organised by ABVP here she said that in modern society the girls have managed to attain equals success with men where ever they have been given equal opportunities and have made the nation and the society proud of their talent and have proved to the world that there was no dearth of talent in them.
The governor asked the girls to study without fear and achieve their goals for which training of judo/karate was also important and said that she has instructed the universities to work towards the security of the girls and provide them training in self defense. She said that the girls should be filled with confidence and never divert from their targets being sacred of anti social elements.
Ms Murmu suggested that in case of any problem they should discuss the same in their homes without any hesitation and should also be cooperative towards their fellow students. She said that in case of any problem they should try to jointly tackle them and also inform the police and the college. The governor said that university administration and police have been directed to make sure that the girls study in a better environment without any fear.
She said that sometimes a few incidents make the parents worry about the education of their girls but they should not be scared as the daughter are capable of taking on those anti-social elements and asked everyone to encourage the girls to become fearless.
