Ranchi: In a major set back for jailed former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav the Jharkhand High Court today rejected his bail petition in the Dumka treasury case of the fodder scam.
The court of justice Apresh Kumar Singh rejected the bail petition of Lalu Yadav in this case. Justice Singh said that since in this case, Mr Yadav had not even served half the tenure of the punishment awarded to him therefore he
could not be granted bail.
The lawyers of Lalu Yadav had filed for bail on his old age and health grounds. In the last 14 months, it was for the third time that the bail of Lalu Yadav has been rejected by the High Court.
