Responsibility to ensure that every voter turns out to vote: Sudeep Jain

Jamshedpur: Deputy Election Commissioner of Election Commission of India Sudeep Jain said that it was the responsibility to the commission to ensure that every voter turns out to vote.

Addressing a workshop organised here he said that other countries of the world are surprised as to how with such a large population the complex task of election is completed in the country and the credit to this goes to the BLOs as they play an important role to make the voters aware.

He said that there are also single voter booths in the country where for one person the polling parties are available and asked the BLOs to ensure that voter slips should reach to all whose names have been included in the voter list.

Chief Electoral Officer Vinay Kumar Choubey said that the BLOs have played an important role to link the women and youth voters and said that the booth app will be used on 10 booths of the 9 districts .

He asked them to ensure that no voter in their area is denied an opportunity to vote. Lauding the zingle prepared by the East Singhbhum district administration he said that the same will be included in the sweep programme.
