Ragubar says officials not working properly will be given VRS

Chaibasa: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das warned the officials to change their working culture and said that officers were not meant for just warming the seats and those who do not wish to work should apply for VRS.

Addressing a Jan Chaupal organised at Sirangisya Panchayat of Tonto Block he asked the officials to take their jobs as a service to the people and asked the DDC of the area concerned to file a report in this regard after some of the people present in the Jan Chaupal complained to the Chief Minister that toilets had not been constructed in their homes.

Mr Das said that recently he had visited the district during which he realised that people were not getting the advantage of the government schemes, therefore, he had come to interact with them.

Over a complaint by a woman he said that Anganwadi Kendra should not be operated from a home as it can cause corruption and asked the officials as to whether they just roam in the city and not reach to the villages.

He instructed them to visit the villages more and spend less time in urban areas. Mr Das said that the state government will not make any compromise with the issue of the development of tribals.

A woman said that her landfalls in the industrial area and the company takes the land on lease but does not provide job on which he directed the DDC to hold a meeting with the companies and provide jobs to the locals and also provide them training and link with jobs.

Ashok Hansda said that for road expansion project his land was taken but no compensation has been received despite submitting the papers on which he said that soon they will get compensation money as funds will be transferred to the district soon.
