CM holds meeting with Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Prahlad Joshi

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das during his visit to the National capital on Thursday met Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Union Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi.

In the meeting with the union coal minister, it was agreed that the centre and the state government would work together to stop illegal mining for which modern techniques would be used. Further, it was also decided that through the CSR fund Coal India would be undertaking works of skill development and other schemes related to the Welfare of the people along with that it was agreed to start production from the new coal blocks.

In the meeting with Mr Nitin Gadkari the Chief Minister said that on an average roads in Jharkhand wireless then the national average despite lots of work being done in the last four and half year.

In the meeting between the two it was agreed that Dumka Dhanbad Purulia Chandil Baharagora Balasore Dhamra Port Road measuring a total of 790 kilometres would be made part of the Bharat Mala road Project and the four laning work of Deoghar Basukinath Road would be soon started by the National Highways Authority of India. Approval was also recorded for expansion work on the Gaya bridge in Dhanbad.

It was also decided that two previously sanctioned schemes including Sambalpur Jharsuguda Sundargarh Rourkela Simdega Kolebira Khunti Ranchi project measuring a distance of 329 kilometres and Raipur Bilaspur Gumla Ranchi Bokaro Dhanbad road measuring 707 kilometres would be taken up on a priority basis under the Bharat Mala road Project.

The two leaders also decided that the work on Mirzachowki Farakka Road, NH 98 and Koderma Medhavri NH 31 would be taken up on a priority basis while work for installing grade separators on the Hazaribag bypass road would also commence soon.

It was also agreed that coordination between Jharkhand and Bihar would be established to construct a big bridge at Panduka over Sone river while the decision to accord approval for construction of Garhwa Rehala bypass road Gumla bypass road and Bandgaon Chakradharpur remaining stretch was also agreed.
