One state One Ration implemented in Jharkhand: Raghubar Das

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that one state and one ration card system has been implemented in the state and when in the country one ration card and one nation is implemented then Jharkhand would be completely linked with the scheme.

Reviewing The functioning of the food and civil supplies department at the project building near is said that 13,7 13,92 beneficiaries have taken ration in their district while 720 people have taken ration from outside their district. The officials of the department said that due to the availability of the E pause machine since 2018 April the state government has saved Rs 19.98 crore and the union government has saved Rs 277 crore in purchase of the food grains. The department also said that after the transporter was selected through tender for transporting the food grains from FCI godowns to the state godowns a sum of Rs 8.7 crore every year is being saved.

The Chief Minister clearly said that those who are helpless they should be given food means free of cost immediately and said for this in every Gram Panchayat Nagar Parishad and Nagar panchayat emergency fund of Rs 10000 has been provided while every DC has been given and emergency fund of Rs 5 lakh.

The Chief Minister said that under Ujjwala Yojana so far 29.26 lakh beneficiaries have been given free of cost LPG gas cylinders and gas stoves while by September another 14 lakh beneficiaries will be covered under the scheme. He said that before October 2015 the number of card owners was 35.09 lakh and after the NFSA came into effect the number of ration card owners in the state increased to 57.02 lakh and all figures have been digitised. The department said that despite odd circumstances including drought from 32,360 farmers 22,80,480 quintal paddy has been procured which was 1.5 lakh quintal more than the previous year.

The Chief Minister said that under Dakiya Yojana in the homes of the primitive tribes food grains was being provided and asked the officials to make alternative arrangements so that no home is left.

He said that earlier the PDS shop keepers use to get commission of Rs 45 on per quintal of food grains while commission on per litre on kerosene which was 10 paisa per litre has been hiked to Rs 1 per litre and now these shops will also be given Rs 1000 for better running the shops.
