5 children fall ill after consuming mid day meal in Lohardaga

Lohardaga: Five children fell ill after consuming their mid-day meal at upgraded high school Nagjua located under Kairon block of this district.

After eating the lunch the children started vomiting and complained of dizziness after which a team of doctors was sent to the school to look after their condition. Later when the utensil in which food was kept was examined it was found that it contained a lizard.

BDO Manoj Kumar along with local police station in charge also visited the school and inquired into the incident. The principal of the school Sudha Lakra said that the food was distributed among the children only after it was tasted by a para-teacher and member of the mother's committee.
