Ranchi: AJSU MLA Ramchandra Sahis took oath as the cabinet minister in the Raghubar Das government of the state. Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Sahis in a function held at the Birsa Mandap of the Raj Bhawan here.
Mr Sahis is an MLA from Jugsalai seat of the Jharkhand assembly. His stint would be more about six months as assembly elections are due in the state in November-December. He was accommodated in the cabinet after Chandraprakash Chowdhary got elected to Lok Sabha from Giridih seat of the state and subsequently resigned as the minister for water resources and sanitation.
Mr Sahis is also a close confidant of AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahto and is also popular among the youth for his aggressive style of politics.
