Ranchi: A wild tusker on Saturday killed four people and injured two others in Lapung block. The deceased included Sushma Khalkho her son Viral Khalkho, Sugo Oraon and Faguwa Oraon. The injured included Fakri Pahan and Birsa Oraon. People said that the elephant first trampled to death Sushma Kalkho 36 and her 2.5 years old son.
The child was playing in the house when the elephant entered as soon as the woman tried to run away the elephant crushed both of them. After killing the mother and son the elephant once again returned in the area and killed one Takri Pahan 55 and Birsa Oraon 60. Post the incident the officials of the forest department reached the village and inquired into the incident.
