Development schemes to gather pace from June says Raghubar with eyes on assembly polls

Ranchi : With time running short for the Raghubar Das government in Jharkhand as assembly elections are due in the state in November-December the Chief Minister has directed the officials to launch and realise the development schemes which are targeted at the rural areas especially those related to drinking water and power.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here Mr Das said that he had held a high level review meeting at the project building where he had tasked the officials to commence the launch of various government schemes which are meant for rural and the village population. He said that on June 1 from Shikaripada he will be launching the scheme of installing solar powered street lights in the villages which would commence initially in 9 districts of Santhal and Kolhan regions of the state. Similarly in the village roads with paver blocks will be built which is also help in maintaining the underground water level.

Mr Das said that in every village deep boring would be done and water storage tank of 5000 gallons would be set up which will be also equipped with solar power on the top and taps at the bottom. He said that in his series of chaupals which were organised in the Santhal Pargana region the women had demanded solution to their water problems which the government was committed to solve at any cost. He said that he has also set a deadline for the officials to ensure that these three works are completed in the villages by August end.

On the other hand he also announced that funds under Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana will be transferred into the accounts of the beneficiaries while first installment would be made in June the second installment will be paid around Durga Puja. On the other hand money for buying smart-phones will also be given in the accounts of the farmers by organising camps in the districts he said adding that his government was working on the motto of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ without making any discrimination among the people.
