Ranchi: A special CBI court acquitted dreaded maoist Kundan Pahan in the Namkum encounter case citing lack of evidences against the former ultra.
The court of special CBI judge S K Singh acquitted Kundan Pahan in this case after listening to the arguments of both the sides. In this case there were a total of 7 accused including Kundan Pahan. The court had earlier acquitted six others on the case.
A total of 9 witnesses were presented before the court by the prosecution side while in defence four witnesses were present. Earlier the court had kept its decision safe on May 2 after listening arguments of both the sides.
