Sexual harassment case filed against JVM(P) Godda candidate Pradeep Yadav by his own party functionary

Deoghar/Ranchi: A woman office-bearer of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) has filed a case of sexual harassment against her party MLA from Poriyahaat Pradeep Yadav who is also the Mahagathbandhan candidate from Godda Lok Sabha seat of the state.
The woman on Friday night reached at the Deoghar Women Police Station and filed the complaint and has also accused Mr Yadav of taking away her purse containing Rs 2 lakh. The woman in her complaint pointed out that the incident had taken place in a hotel in Deoghar on April 20.

On the other hand, Mr Yadav has said that all the allegations levelled against him are baseless and blamed BJP candidate from Godda Nishikant Dubey of being the mastermind behind the allegations. He said that Mr Dubey is already aware of his defeat, therefore, he was making such last-ditch efforts to influence the voters.

Mr Yadav also raised questions as to when the incident took place on April 20 why fir was registered on May 3 that too within three hours of complaint by the woman. On the other hand, when a woman worker of the BJP had levelled similar allegations on MLA Dhullu Mahto and Giridih MP Ravindra Pandey than an eyewash was done in name of investigation, he said.

Meanwhile, SDPO Deoghar Vikas Chandra Srivastav said that a case has been registered following the complaint of the woman. He said that the entire situation will be clear after the probe.

Meanwhile addressing a press conference in Ranchi party’s general secretary Bandhu Tirkey said that allegations leveled on Mr Yadav are completely baseless and said that it was a conspiracy hatched by the corporate house in collaboration of the state government. He said that raising the issue at the time of the election itself shows that it is part of a political conspiracy.

He pointed that the woman office bearer herself had ambitions to contest assembly elections from Sarath assembly seat but after Chunna Singh who is a big leader of the area joined the JVM(P) the woman had realized that her ambitions will not be fulfilled therefore she was making such allegations.
