Ranchi: Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee chief Dr Ajay Kumar compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah with horror filmmakers ‘Ramsey Brothers’ and alleged that the duo were scaring the people to get their votes.
Addressing a press conference here Dr Kumar said that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are busy scaring the people to get their votes instead of making the people feel safe and secure. He said that now there is no talk of development, smart city, water or jobs as these words have been removed from the dictionary of the BJP.
He said that the Prime Minister and Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das were also the star campaigners for the Mahagathbandhan as more the Prime Minister visits Jharkhand the more benefit will be reaped by the UPA. He said that Raghubar Das was like a ‘Sanjivani’ for the Congress and asked him to at least visit each parliamentary constituency at least thrice as it will ultimately ensure the victory of Mahagathbandhan candidates. The JPCC chief also accused the BJP of using the Raj Bhawan as political ‘Akhara’ as the Prime Minister during his visit to Ranchi will be staying there for the night during which all the BJP leaders will be gathering to meet him. He said that Mr Modi during his visit to the state should not try to scare the people but should rather seek the forgiveness for the poor performance of Jharkhand on the index of poverty, health and incidents of hunger deaths.
Over the star campaigners of the party, he said that with the likes of Shatrughan Sinha, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Hardik Patel, Bhupesh Bhagel would be coming to campaign for the UPA candidates while talks are also on so that Priyanka Gandhi can also hold a road show in Ranchi.
