Ranchi: The process of filing of nominations for the sixth phase elections in the state on four Lok Sabha seats including Giridih, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur and Singhbhum (ST) came to an end with a total of 202 candidates filing their nomination on these seats.
The scrutiny of the nomination papers will be held on April 24. Candidates can withdraw their names by April 26 while voting on these seats will be held on May 12.
On the Giridih Lok Sabha today 23 candidates turned up to file their nominations taking the overall number to 51 while for Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat 34 candidates today filed their nominations taking the overall number to 69 candidates.
In Jamshedpur, 25 candidates filed their nominations on the last day taking the overall figures at 61 while on the other hand on the Singhbhum a total of 21 candidates have filed their nominations including 12 on the last day.
