Ranchi: Living upto his words sitting Ranchi MP Ramtahal Chowdhary who was denied ticket by the BJP on Tuesday filed his nominations as an independent candidate from the seat.
Ramtahal was among the high profile candidates who turned up on Tuesday along with his supporters to file his nominations. His son Randhir Chowdhary who was working as the district president for Ranchi Rural of the BJP has also resigned from the BJP to support his father.
In a matter of coincidence Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Ramtahal Chowdhary came face to face during filing the nominations at the collectorate providing a photo opportunity for the crowded photographers and journalists.
Mr Chowdhary who had resigned from the primary membership of the party on April 10 had on that day criticized the central and the state leadership of the party and had accused them of functioning as a dictator and said that he was punished for speaking the truth. He had said that the government in Jharkhand taking decision sitting in AC rooms in Jharkhand and that too on an online mode and had blamed Mr Das for the wrong happenings in the state
The BJP had cited growing age for denying ticket to the five-time MP from Ranchi and instead fielded Sanjay Seth as the party candidate for the prestigious Ranchi Lok Sabha seat of Jharkhand
