Congress candidate Kirti Azad shown black flags in Dhanbad

Dhanbad: Congress candidate from Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat Kirti Azad Jha landed in an uneasy situation as not only he was shown black flags by Congress workers who shouted slogans asking him to go back and even his press conference was disrupted by the protestors. For the first time after being given the ticket, Mr Jha had today reached Dhanbad. As soon as he reached Jharia in Banihari Congress workers showed him black flags and raised slogans asking him to go back as they did not want an outsider.

Later as he was addressing a press conference at a city hotel secretary of the district Congress organization committee Gopal Dhari created an uproar and showed him black flag and raised slogans against him. As things got ugly a group of party workers forced Gopal Dhari out of the venue.

The Congress workers are demanding Dhanbad needs such a candidate who is a local and who would stand by the people in their good and bad times and will not support any outsider. Protest against Mr Azad had started in Dhanbad even before his name was officially declared as members of the minority community had also opposed his name.
