10 nominations rejected in scrutiny for 1st phase of LS polls in Jharkhand

Ranchi: A total of 10 nominations were rejected at the end of the scrutiny process for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections (Election Commission of India Fourth Phase) on three Lok Sabha seats of the state Chatra, Lohardaga (ST) and Palamu (SC). 

Addressing a press conference here State’s Chief Electoral Officer L Khiyangate said that a total of 4 (Four) nominations have been rejected on the Chatra seat, while 2 (Two) nominations have been rejected in Lohardaga and another 4 (Four) in Palamu.

The total valid number of nominations on the Chatra seat is 27, Lohardaga 15 and on Palamu 20 he said adding that the candidates can withdraw their names till April 12. Voting will take place on April 29 on these three seats.
