Raid against power theft, fine of Rs 89.12 lakh imposed

Ranchi: the Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam Limited conducted a raid across the state on illegal power theft. As part of the action
raids, were conducted on 2027 premises in which FIR was registered on 551 people and a total fine of Rs 89.12 lakh was imposed on them.

In Ranchi circle FIR was registered on 62 people while fine of Rs 9.93 lakh was also imposed on them while in Gumla FIR was registered on 13 people and fine of Rs 3.19 lakh was imposed.

In Giridih circle area FIR was registered on 86 people and fine of Rs 15.45 lakh was imposed. 

In Jamshedpur FIR on 25 and fine of Rs 3.80 lakh, Chaibasa FIR on 23 and fine of Rs 4.56 lakh, Dhanbad FIR on 38 people and fine of Rs 4.75 lakh, Deoghar FIR on 64 and fine of Rs 12.72 lakh etc.
