Suvidha App to be used in LS polls

Ranchi: Election commission of India has launched Suvidha app which is a single integrated app which will help in the management of process related to the nomination of the employees and granting permission related to election campaigning. Additional chief electoral
officer Vinay Chaubey said that under this act menu for nomination permission and counting are available. 

He said that in the nomination module the returning officer would dispose of his duties related to the nomination of the candidates loading of an affidavit or counter-affidavit scrutiny of nomination paper allocation of election symbol and verification of all candidates and also finalize the final list of the candidates contesting the polls. At the time of filing of the nomination, the returning officer would link the phone number of the candidate so that the candidate can use the candidate app and log in to the system after which the candidate can see details of is nomination affidavit nomination received permission status etc. 

Under the permission module there would be separate portals for the returning officer and the candidate under which for the different candidates of the political parties they would be filing applications for conduction of election rallies use of vehicle opening of temporary electoral officer use of mix helicopters and helix while on the other hand the Nodal Officer can seek notification from the police fire brigade revenue and public constructions department and after going through the application would issue the permission which would be issued online and the printed copy can be kept with the candidate.
