Women empowerment is the centre of Sukanya Yojana says Raghubar

Pakur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that Sukanya Yojana was not just only a scheme but it is has been kept at the centre
for women empowerment so that female foeticide can be stopped along with child marriages and daughters of the state can get a good education and their marriage is held at the right time. 

Addressing the awareness programme organised for Sukanya Yojana here he said that daughters of the country are making a name for themselves in every sector whether it was education or sports and are no less than the men and the same work is being done by the centre and the state government which believes that without empowerment of the women the country, state or the family cannot become strong. He asked the people present on the occasion to take a pledge that they would educate their daughters first and marry them later. 

The Chief Minister said that all round development of the Santhal Pargana region is a priority for the state government which wants to ensure that changes are brought in the lives of the people of this area. He asked the people to get educated as with education only they can take the benefits of the various schemes of the central and state government and also asked to educate their children. Mr Das said that culture and language is the identity of the state and the brave men of the Santhal Pargana region had fought to protect their language and culture and the present government is committed for its conservation and enrichment as part of which in all government offices apart from Hindi the name of that office would be registered in Santhali and even children in government schools from classes 1-5 would be taught in the Santhali language. 

The Chief Minister said that on February 17th Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Hazaribagh and on this occasion, he would inaugurated the newly constructed medical colleges in Dumka Hazaribagh and Palamu and would also lay Foundation stone for supplying water to 67000 primitive tribes family through pipeline while on the other hand, the state government from the month of April would conduct deep boring and install water tanks having a capacity of 5000 litres so that people can get pure drinking water.

Similarly to ensure that the villages are also lighten up and roads remain clean and clear street lights would be erected while with the help of Paver blocks roads would be constructed and for this the Mukhiyas have been asked to make use of the funds of the 14th Finance Commission and this system should be put into place in every village whether they are dominated by the tribals non tribals or
by the dalits.

Those present on the occasion also included Welfare Minister Louis Marandi, Commissioner Santhal Pargana Bhagwan Das, DIG Rajkumar Lakra and senior officials.
