Ayushman Bharat Yojana a crulel joke with poor: Shahdeo

Ranchi: Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Ajay Nath Shahdeo on Saturday said that the much-hyped Ayushman Bharat scheme has turned out to be a cruel joke for the poor in the state. He said that BJP has turned the country into a laboratory and has included the poor and the common people into it and was playing with them.

He said that in a bulk 22.56 lakh golden cards has been made by the state government but whether the people were getting benefits neither the chief minister nor the health minister has time to see. He said that the government was busy showing its achievements through holdings and banners and was not worried actually about the real pain and suffering of the people. 

Mr Shahdeo said that a total of 218 government hospitals and 367 private hospitals have been enrolled under the scheme but private hospitals are not treating patients and what turning them away which has left the people with no option and alleged that the government was not at all worried to realise whether the scheme was being really meeting its end or not.
