Congress forms screening committee for LS polls

Ranchi: AICC president Rahul Gandhi has announced the formation of a national screening committee for the party which would finalize the names of the candidate to contest the Lok Sabha polls. Jpcc spokesperson Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo said that State Congress
election committee would recommend the names of the candidates to the national screening committee. 

He said for the screening committee for Jharkhand the members included former Union minister and incharge for party affairs in the state RPN Singh and Co-incharge Umang Singhar and Moinul Haq the other members of the committee included Jpcc president Dr Ajay Kumar leader of the Legislature wing of the Congress party Alamgir Alam and AICC General Secretary organisation KC Venugopal. Mr Shahdeo said that the committee by February 20 will make scrutiny and forward the names to the national election committee.
