CM visits ancestral village with JMM supremo

Ramgarh: Chief Minister Hemant Soren reached his ancestral village of Nemra located in Gola block in this district to participate in the martyrdom day of his grandfather Sobran Soren on Sunday.

Chief Minister  Soren along with his father, former Chief Minister and JMM supremo Shibu Soren paid tribute to martyr Sobran Soren’s statue installed at the martyrdom site at Lukaiya Tand. Ramgarh MLA Mamta Devi, DC Madhavi Mishra and SP Piyush Pandey were also present on the occasion. 

The Chief Minister reached his native village Nemra by helicopter on Sunday afternoon. It was on this day that his grandfather late Sobran Soren was murdered by moneylenders. Every year a programme is organised at Lukaiya Tand under Nemra on his Martyrdom Day.

Preparations had been completed for the arrival of the Chief Minister. The venue of the programme was inspected by the officials of the district and facilities like water, electricity were restored at the venue. Police were deployed from Barlanga police station to the venue and the activities of every visitor are being monitored in the entire area.
