Ranchi: The AJSU party has commenced its preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the country as part of which from January 24 it will be having a separate meeting with the office bearers, workers and panchayat representatives from the different Lok Sabha areas of the state.
Party’s central spokesperson Dr. Devsharan Bhagat said that on January 24 a meeting with the office bearers of Giridih Lok Sabha area will be held at the party headquarters here in which central office bearers, district and block level presidents, senior workers, Zilla Parishad chairman and other representatives have been called. After Giridih, a similar exercise would be held for Ranchi Lok Sabha area on January 30 and Hazaribagh Lok Sabha area on January 31.
Mr Bhagat said that the office bearers have been asked to do their homework before coming to the meeting he said. Dr Devsharan said that in the Lok Sabha polls the regional issues take a back seat and the agendas of the national parties come in front which causes damage to the state. He said that AJSU will take up the regional and ground issues in these polls and to understand the feelings of the workers and the core issues the meetings have been called. He said that after the first phase in February talks over the other Lok Sabha seats will be held. AJSU has already announced its decision to contest alone in the assembly polls in Jharkhand.
On the other hand party supremo, Sudesh Mahto will start the 5th phase of his Swaraj Swabhimaan Yatra from the first week of February. In the previous four phases, the yatra has traveled through 1250 villages spread across Hazaribagh Bokaro Dhanbad Giridih West Singhbhum Lohardaga Dumka and Pakur districts.
