Dhanbad: A cyclist lost his life while two others were injured following a collision between a bike and a cycle on the NH-2 under Topchanchi Police Station area of this district. The deceased cyclist has been identified as Basu Soren.
Eyewitnesses said that the cyclist was hit by the bike from behind. Such was the impact of the incident that Basu who had sustained serious head injuries was killed on the spot while the two youth who were on the bike sustained serious injuries.
Later the police rushed the injured to PMCH Dhanbad while the body of the victim has been also sent for post-mortem. The identity of the injured was yet to be ascertained.
