Urine infection of Lalu Yadav gets doctors worried at RIMS

Ranchi: Urine infection of jailed former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has increased as blood strains have been found in his urine sample following which the doctors treating him at RIMS are worried.

The doctors have performed the urine culture at the hospital and the same is being sent to a private lab after which on the basis of the report further course of treatment would be chalked out. Head of Medicine Department Dr Umesh Prasad who is looking after Mr Yadav at the hospital said that since the infection has increased therefore antibiotic has been started. He said that once the urine culture report comes than the future mode of treatment would be worked out. 

The doctor said that Lalu Yadav is suffering from a number of ailments including chronic kidney failure which was at stage 3 along with prostate perennial infection kidney stone fatty lever and only his 45 percent kidney was functional which was other than diabetes. He said that regular monitoring of his health condition was being done as minor negligence can be fatal. On the other hand following the request of the hospital the jail administration had allowed the attendees of Mr Yadav to bring him from outside vegetarian food materials prawn and mineral water however ban on fish mutton and poultry continues to be in force.

RIMS superintendent Vivek Kashyap had written a letter to the jail administration in this regard after which the permission was granted.
