Daltonganj (RP Service): Police has arrested six hardcore criminals while they were planning a loot from Pandwa and Ramgarh Police Station areas of the Palamu district. Palamu SP Inderjeet Mahtha said that acting on a secret tip off a team of policemen led by DSP Surjeet Kumar conducted raids and arrested four criminals who were planning to loot a hyva from Pandwa Police Station area. The arrested have been identified as Niranjan Mehta, Ranjeet Singh and two others.
A country made pistol was also recovered from them. The SP said that all these arrested men were also involved in attacks at the Hindalco Coal Mines located in this district. On the other hand, police have also arrested one Bholu Yadav and Ashok Yadav for the murder of a girl which had occurred on December 13. Mr Mahtha said that both of them were consuming liquor at the roadside during which they were spotted by the girl who was passing by. In order to maintain their identity, they strangulated the girl to death and later stabbed her face with stones and fled from the spot.
