Section 144 to be imposed in Ranchi during Shab-E-Baraat & Holi

Ranchi: Sub Divisional Officer Sadar Ranchi has decided to impose section 144 in areas falling under its jurisdiction during the twin festivals of Shab-e-Baraat and Holi which will be celebrated during end of this month.

As per the use of the order of mikes and DJ has been prohibited, ban has been imposed on inappropriate songs and speeches which might hurt communal feelings. Further complete ban has been imposed on rallies and procession.

The section 144 will come into effect from March 28, 6 am and will remain till March 30 in the entire Ranchi sub division. Those who would be violating the prohibitory orders against them action will be taken under IPC section 188.
