Minor gangraped and murdered in Sahebganj, four culprits including three minors arrested

Sahebganj: A girl was gang-raped and murdered under Ranga Police Station area of this district.

Police said that the incident had taken place on October 9 itself and on Tuesday the body of the girl was taken out from the grave and sent for post-mortem. Out of the five culprits who had executed the crime four have been arrested.

Police said that three among the arrested are minors. Police said that one among the culprits is an ex-boyfriend of the girl. The ex-boyfriend had seen the girl with another boy in a local fair after which he got angry.

He along with four other friends thrashed the boy and later took the girl to an isolated location where they gang-raped her and threw her body on the terrace of her newly constructed house. The family members of the victim claimed that the local police station also did not help them and in the village meeting they were forced to bury the body.

Somehow Sahebganj SP Anuranjan Kispotta got to know about the incident and he directed Barharwa SDPO Pramod Mishra to conduct a probe. On Tuesday before a magistrate, the body was taken out and sent for post-mortem.
