Jamshedpur: Two men sustained bullet injuries as miscreants opened fire in Dhatkidih under the Bistupur Police Station area of the East Singhbhum district on Monday afternoon.
The criminals also thrashed a woman and her son. The injured have been identified as Mohammed Qayum and Mohammed Mustaqim. One of them has been admitted at TMH while another has been sent to MGM Hospital.
Police sources said that family members of the injured have accused one Salman who runs a criminal outfit of beating the old woman and his son and while others tried to intervene he opened fire in which two men sustained injuries.
Upon receiving information Jamshedpur City SP Subhash Chandra Jaat inquired into the incident. However, no arrests have been made so far.
