Ranchi: Police has arrested a couple of miscreants who had looted the car of an employee of Medica Hospital near Hochar bridge on the ring road.
Ranchi Rural SP Naushad Aalam on Saturday said that the arrested have been identified as Om Verma alias Billu (23) and Mohammed Ashiq Ansari (22). From the arrested a country-made gun, two live cartridges, the looted car and a purse of the victim has been recovered.
The SP said that after looting the car on August 22 both of them had gone towards Hazaribagh and had plans to smuggle liquor into Bihar using the vehicle but unfortunately the car met with an accident on August 29 after which they had abandoned the car.
A couple of days earlier these two were again planning to loot a car from the same spot when they were nabbed by the police.
