Ranchi (By our correspondent): AJSU party supremo Sudesh Kumar Mahto will kick-start the third leg of his Swaraj Swabhimman Yatra from Bhanwaro village of great freedom fighter Ganpat Rai located in Lohardaga district of the state from Monday. Mr. Mahto after garlanding his statue in the village will hold a chaupal with the villagers. Through the course of the yatra, he would try to understand from the people whether the concept of gram swaraj as propounded by Mahatma Gandhi has been realized on the ground.
He would also sit with the people to talk over their common problems and hold dialogues to strengthen the social and political bond. Party spokesperson Dr. Devsharan Bhagat said that Gandhiji had a dream that the index of development would be measured by the progress of the person which is standing on the last row of the society and in this parameter where Jharkhand is standing answer to this burning question will be sought in this yatra. In this yatra,
Mr. Mahto will hold pad yatra in Bedal, Masmano, Ghata Gayie, Jhalmira, Datri, Sithio and many villages of Barhi and also participate in the chaupals of the villages. In this leg, he would also hold interaction with the panchayat heads, students, representatives of the workers union, gram pradhans, women self-help groups and village intellectuals while discussions would also be held on how much the administration makes the local government efficiency in the state. Meanwhile, the party has commenced all preparations for this phase of yatra in which a total of 84 kilometers of pad-yatra would be taken by Mr. Mahto and the yatra travel through 52 villages of Vishupur, Lohardaga, Simaria and Barkagaon Vidhan Sabha area.
