Ranchi (By our correspondent): Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu participated in the ‘Prakash Parv’ organised at Krishna
Nagar of Ratu Road in the state capital. In her address to the people Ms Murmu said that Gurunanak Dev Ji was a true spiritual guru and expressed her pleasure for being invited to participate in the Prakash Parv which is dedicated to the founder of Sikhism and the first Sikh Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
She said that the core of the Sikh religion was working for humanity and believing in the existence of God who was the supreme power. She said that Nank Dev Ji thought the people the art of living and as a social reformer he worked to improve the condition of the women, poor and the dalits and offered her tributes to Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Those who were also present on the occasion included Urban Development Minister C P Singh, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda and others.
