Ranchi (RP Services): Urban Development Minister C P Singh along with Ranchi mayor Asha Lakra on Sunday visited the various Chhath Ghats of the state capital and looked into the preparations of the festival. The minister expressed his satisfaction over the cleanliness done in the ponds but after spotting unclean road leading to the water bodies he directed the officials of the RMC to immediately ensure that they are cleaned. He said that there should be no garbage on the roads and asked to fill dust in all the holes so that the devotees do not have any problem.
Four day long Chhath Mahaparv commenced on Sunday with Nahai-Khay which would be followed by Kharna on Monday and on Tuesday the devotees will reach to their local river bodies to offer arghya to the setting sun and will repeat the same practice on Wednesday morning.
