Ranchi (By our correspondent): Jharkhand Government has decided to increase the honorarium paid to the Anganwadi Sevikas and
Sahaikas in the state from the existing Rs 3000 to Rs 4,500 per month. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state
the cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here.
In the meeting, it was decided that honorarium of Sevikas would be increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,500 while that of Sahaikas would be hiked from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2250. On the other hand sevikas in mini anganwadis would be given Rs 3,500 from Rs 2250 earlier. It was also decided that the Sevikas of Anganwadi kendras and mini Anganwadi kendras will be given Rs 500 as an incentive for their performance in ISDS CS under the nutrition campaign while the Sahaikas would be eligible for an incentive of Rs 250.
All the new increment would come into effect from October 1, 2018 and the share would be borne by the central and the state government in the ration 60:40. The government has also decided that on the lines of Manki, Munda, Gram Pradhan and Dakuwa the Prangeth, Pranik, Jogmanjhi, Kudam Nayaki, Gadyet, Mool Rayat, Phara Raja, Gram Sabha Pradhan, Ghatwal and Tawedar would be given an honorary sum of Rs 1,000 per month.
In another key decision aimed at the benefit of the SC/ST students the state government has decided that such students who would pass the mains exam of the UPSC they would be given a one-time payment of Rs 1 lakh to prepare for the interview. Further, the cabinet also decided to sanction a sum of Rs 3.57 crore to construct a 25 feet long statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at the old jail premises of 25 feet high while those of other martyrs would at 9 feet high.
The cabinet also decided to give approval to the formation of Jharkhand Family Court rules 2018. It was also decided to make amendments in the notification related according to priority to the locals in districts level appointments in category 3rd and fourth jobs. On a pilot project, it has been agreed to start organic farming of
cumacin and florigene in the state for which Surat-based firm Lacgene Technologies has been nominated while the cabinet also gave its approval to the Jharkhand Medical Education Services Rules 2018. The cabinet has decided to follow the orders of the high court in case related to Nandlal Prasad retd storekeeper vs Jharkhand Government while the government has also agreed to frame rules so that the people on compensatory grounds can be directly appointed in the clerk post in the secretariat level jobs. The government also agreed to rename the Welfare Department as the ST, SC, Minority and Backward Class Welfare Department while a proposal to provide a grant of Rs 2.94 crore to Ramakrishna Mission Vivekanand Mission while an approval for expenditure of Rs 58.36 crore for execution of Centre-sponsored Nutrition was also accorded by the state cabinet.
