Employment for youth is the top priority for the state government: Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday handed over employment letters to 20 students of Kalyan Gurukul of Khunti.

Speaking on the occasion he said youths are the future of the state and the country and it is the priority for the state government to provide employment to the youth. He encouraged the youths who had got the employment letter to make a name for the state and asked them to do great work in abroad.

The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the youths who would be traveling to Qatar to work in Voltas company.

He said that the officials should also keep information about these children when they are abroad and in case they face any problems than steps should be taken to solve them and hoped that Kalyan Gurukul will continue to work in a similar manner.

Secretary of the Welfare Department Himani Pandey said that under the special initiative in this institution youth hailing fromSC/ST/OBC and minorities are provided training and linked with jobs.

She said that at the present in the state 26 Kalyan Gurukuls are being operated in which training is being provided in 12 different trades and so far 569 youths have been given employment.

Those present on the occasion included Chief Secretary DK Tiwari, Development Commissioner Sukhdeo Singh, OSD to Chief Minister Gopalji Tiwari etc.
