Coal of Jharkhand has power to illuminate the world says Raghubar

Dhanbad Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the state government was committed to provide quality and uninterrupted power to the people of the state adding that coal of Jharkhand has power to light up the world.
    Addressing the people after inaugurating and laying foundation stones for 120 projects of the power department at Gobindpur here he said that after coming to power his government accorded focus for the improvement of basic amenities of life including power, water and roads. He said that in 30 lakh homes electricity was provided by the state government as without power development can not be imagined in the state.
    He said that against the requirement of 114 grids there were only 31 grids in the state however under his tenure work on construction of 18 grids have been completed while work was in the last phase on 46 another grids while another 350 substations are on out of which 120 have been completed and work on another 54 will be completed soon. Mr. Das who inaugurated 16 grids during the function said that this will also reduce dependency on DVC and people in rural areas will also get quality power.
    The Chief Minister said that the state government was working to provide a separate feeder for the agricultural works. He said that 174 feeders for agriculture works are being constructed and said that from the Adani Power Plant in Godda 25 per cent power will be provided to the state. He said that those who claim to provide free power to the people are misleading them and the present government does not believe in making fake promises.
   Mr. Das said the government was committed to provide quality power to the people however in return the people should also pay their bills or else the power department will go in loss. He said that the people needed to think who despite having surplus coal deposit the power department in Jharkhand was in loss.
    Mr. Das said that earlier if instead of selling the coal work for power production would have been done and value-added plants would have been put than direct and employment would have been generated. He assured that in the days to come to the closed units in Nirsa will be opened.

   Those present on the occasion also included Dhanbad MP PN Singh, MLAs of Sindri and Dhanbad and others.
