Tributes paid to the martyr policemen on occasion of Shaheed Diwas

Ranchi (By our Correspondent): On the occasion of police remembrance day rich tributes were paid to the martyr jawans in a function
held in the state capital where Ranchi SSP along with other policemen paid rich tributes to the martyr policemen.

In a function held at the police lines here, tributes were paid by the officials. In his address to the jawans and officials who were present on the occasion, the SSP said that the best service in the police department was to make the supreme sacrifice for the cause for the nation. He said that every year thousands of policemen are martyred in the line of the duty and this day was dedicated to them. 

In the function, the Kolhan DIG recalled his emotional association with the jawans and pointed examples of the supreme sacrifice made by the policemen for maintaining peace and law and order.

On the occasion, the family members of the martyrs were also felicitated. The kin of the martyrs said that they too were proud of the supreme sacrifice made by their family members. The police jawans also lowered down their guns as part of tributes to the martyrs' jawans.
