JVM(P) stages bicycle rally to protest against inflation and rise of petroleum products

Ranchi - (By Our Correspondent): To protest against inflation and rise in the cost of the petroleum products the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) staged a bicycle yatra in the state capital which was led by former Chief Minister and party supremo Babulal Marandi. 

The yatra commenced from the Morabadi grounds of the state capital during which Mr. Marandi himself travelled in a rickshaw while other senior leaders of the party including Pradeep Yadav and Bandhu Tirkey rode bicycles and culminated at the Birsa Chowk.

Addressing the meeting organised at Birsa Chowk Mr. Marandi said that price rise and inflation has broken the back of the people. He alleged that the central government has been a complete failure to check the price rise and attributed every day rising cost of petrol and diesel as the prime reason behind the increase in the process of goods of daily use. Mr. Marandi said that on the issue of controlling price rise and cost of diesel and petrol the BJP had managed to come into power but now their ministers are saying that they can not do anything to control the prices of petrol and diesel. He sought answers from the leaders and workers of the BJP who had raised hue and cry during the UPA rule. He said that the Modi government has been a failure at every level and instead of solving the basic problems of the people the government gave a broom in their hands for which the people had not voted them in power. Mr. Marandi said in the polls of 2019 the BJP will be wiped out of power from centre as well as the state.
